About IMC

International Maritime Classification (IMC) is an autonomous International Classification Society and Verification Body committed to offer classification, statutory certification, validation and verification services to vessels and other marine structures, with the objective of guarding the environment and life at sea.

The efficiency and performance of IMC is based on the competence and skills of the personnel who through training, innovation and common contribution to the determined goals. Together with our qualified surveyors, auditors and verifiers distributed throughout the major ports of the world, we ensure high performance and efficiency.

VISION

IMC intends to be acknowledged as a QHSE to provide ships survey/inspection services such as Class Hull & Machinery survey, Statutory surveys on behalf of flag, ISM, ISPS & MLC audit, CICA survey & Cargo gear inspection, providing innovative solutions meeting the needs of our customers in line with the global principles of sustainable development, responsible care and quality management systems.

CODE OF ETHICS

Creating a personal code of ethics is essential to clarify ethical thought, make us more aware of common ethical challenges and useful distinctions, to teach skills for dealing with them, and to apply the skills and improve ethical behaviour. It helps construct and confront those “what-if situations”, and to develop a framework for approaching real ethical dilemmas. Also, to evaluate personal values system, both religious and secular, as well as the worthiness of role models. By integrating the code of ethics in our personal life and thinking, we have the same ingrained in our way of working.

Habits develop through repeated actions derive from thoughts. Habits are the bricks from which we build character, ad our character determines our destiny. CODE OF CONFIDENTIALITY

IMC will remain confidentiality when it has committed to doing so, except in situations where keeping information secret jeopardizes the life or safety of another person. IMC will not promote confidentiality in situations where it knows the law requires to divulge information. IMC will exercise caution when engaging in games of partial truth and will respect other’s property.

IMC is committed to maintain confidentiality and security of all confidential information including, but not limited to, confidential techniques, methods, styles, designs and designs concept, developments, client lists, business plan, marketing plans, sales information, methods of operations, knowledge and data relating to processes, compounds and compositions, intellectual property, presentation boards, plans, etc, received from its principals and all customers. All employees who are privy to such confidential information to any other third party during their employment with the undertake not disclose such confidential information to any other third party during their employment with the organization and also subsequent to their separation from the organization. This policy shall be communicated in order that it is understood and practiced across the organization.

QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY

Class policy, IMC must be excellent in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment. To ensure that the risk exposed to people, property, the environment and maritime security are reduced to a minimum.

We ensure that our organization can fulfil its obligations by:

⚓ Ensuring that all inspections are conducted in an impartially manner, to ensure that all results will be unbiased and relief from any pressure.

⚓ Everyone on board and ashore must be aware of the Health, Safety, Environment protection policy of the company.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Research and Development (R&D) services are the main pillar of IMC activities. We are giving great attention and vast of our resources to gain in-depth knowledge on international rules and regulations as well as updating our Classification Rules.
